Many thanks to Eckington Caravan Park for facilitating this camera's location and to Avon Navigation Trust  for capitally funding its installation. Eckington is renowned for several notable features, including its famous bridge, which has even been immortalized in a poem by Arthur Quiller-Couch. The village is also distinguished by its village cross and its Norman-period church. Nestled in the north-western vicinity of Bredon Hill, an outcrop of the Cotswolds, Eckington finds itself encompassed by the meandering River Avon. Consequently, the village frequently contends with flooding issues, particularly affecting its entry roads. In terms of neighboring towns, Eckington shares its proximity with Pershore, situated 4 miles (6 km) to the north, and Evesham, located 10 miles (16 km) to the north-east, both of which are also situated along the course of the River Avon. To the south-west, on the banks of the River Severn, lies the historic town of Tewkesbury, positioned 8 miles (13 km) away.To facilitate monitoring of the famous bridge, water levels, and the potential flooding onto Eckington Road (B4080), the Farson Digital Webcam has been installed in the area. This serves as a valuable tool for assessing and managing the situation in real-time.
